1. Definitions

“Client”, “You”, “Your”, “Hirer” means the person or business named on the invoice and responsible for the booking.
“Muse Events by GL”, “We”, “Us”, “Our” means Muse Events by GL.

2. Booking & Payment

A booking is only secured once the required booking fee has been paid.

A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required within 48 hours of invoice to secure the date.

The remaining balance is due 1 month before the event date.

Bookings made within 1 month of the event date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

All hire charges paid are non-refundable, as they cover date reservation, preparation, administration, transport, installation, collection and loss of earnings.

Late payment may result in delayed preparation, delayed installation times, suspension of works, or cancellation of the booking.

If the final balance is not received by the due date, Muse Events by GL reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund.

3. Hire Period

The hire period is as stated on the invoice and applies only to the party duration or other agreed period of use.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the booking allows up to 1 hour before the hire period begins for installation and up to 1 hour after the hire period ends for collection.

The inflatable must not be used before installation has been completed by Muse Events by GL.

Use of the inflatable outside of the agreed hire period is not permitted unless agreed in writing in advance.

Where overnight hire is agreed, the hirer remains fully responsible for the inflatable and all associated equipment until collection.

4. Delivery, Installation & Collection

The inflatable will be installed by Muse Events by GL in the agreed position only.

The inflatable must not be moved once installed.

All anchoring, blower connections and safety equipment must remain exactly as installed and must not be tampered with.

Collection will take place at the agreed time or within the agreed collection window.

The inflatable must be clear of users and personal items and ready for collection at that time.

If collection is delayed due to lack of access, the area not being clear, or continued use of the inflatable beyond the agreed hire period, additional charges may apply.

5. Access & Setup Requirements

The hirer must ensure that:

• the inflatable is installed indoors only

• there is safe, clear and adequate access to the setup area

• the setup area is clear before arrival

• the surface is level, clean and suitable for installation

• there is sufficient space for the inflatable, blower, mats and safe access around it

• a suitable and safe power source is available within safe reach of the installation area, unless otherwise agreed

Muse Events by GL reserves the right to refuse installation where the access, space, surface or conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

If installation cannot go ahead for these reasons, the booking may be cancelled without refund.

6. Location of Hire

These terms apply to indoor bouncy castle hire only, unless otherwise agreed by Muse Events by GL in writing.

The inflatable must only be used at the hire address stated on the booking.

It must not be moved to another area, room, floor or address without prior written agreement from Muse Events by GL.

If the inflatable is installed indoors, it must remain indoors for the full duration of the hire and must not be moved outside under any circumstances.

The inflatable must not be sub-hired, re-hired or used for any commercial purpose by the hirer or any third party.

7. Hirer Responsibility

The hirer is responsible for the inflatable and all users from the point of installation until collection.

The hirer must ensure that:

• the inflatable is supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over

• all safety rules are followed throughout the hire period

• the maximum user capacity is never exceeded

• larger and smaller children are separated where necessary

• no unauthorised person interferes with the inflatable, blower, cables, anchor points or any attached décor

Where overnight hire is agreed, the hirer remains fully responsible for the inflatable and all associated equipment until collection.

8. Age & Use Restrictions

This inflatable is for children under 12 years old only unless otherwise stated in writing by Muse Events by GL.

Adults and children must not use the inflatable at the same time, except where an adult is assisting a child where genuinely necessary.

No person under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any intoxicating substance may use or supervise the inflatable.

Anyone with a medical condition, injury, or physical issue that could be worsened by use of the inflatable should not use it.

9. Capacity & Safety Rules

The maximum number of users must never exceed the limit stated on the inflatable or advised by Muse Events by GL at the time of setup.

The following rules must be followed at all times:

• no flips or somersaults

• no climbing, sitting or hanging on the walls

• no rough play, pushing, fighting or boisterous behaviour

• no bouncing on the front step or apron

• no obstructing the entrance or exit

• no food, drinks or chewing gum on or near the inflatable

• no smoking, naked flames or barbeques near the inflatable

• no pets, toys, sharp objects or glass items on the inflatable

• no face paint, body glitter, confetti, silly string or similar substances on or near the inflatable

• no shoes, jewellery, badges, glasses, belts, pens or items in pockets while using the inflatable

Any user with a cut, graze, wound or broken skin on their feet must wear socks while using the inflatable.

10. Supervision

A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise the inflatable at all times while it is in use.

The supervisor must ensure that:

• the entrance and exit stay clear

• users remove unsuitable items before entering

• users are grouped sensibly by age and size

• numbers on the inflatable remain within the permitted limit

• unsafe behaviour is stopped immediately

• children do not go behind the inflatable unsupervised

11. Safe Operation

The inflatable must not be used in any way that is unsafe.

The inflatable must be switched off and not used when left unattended.

No users may be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation.

If the blower stops working, anchoring loosens, the inflatable begins to move, or anything appears unsafe, all users must get off immediately and Muse Events by GL must be contacted straight away.

Any safety matting provided must remain correctly positioned throughout the hire period.

The area around the inflatable must be kept clear at all times.

12. Personalisation & Decorative Items

Only Muse Events by GL may attach personalisation, balloon garlands or any decorative items to the bouncy castle.

Clients, guests and third-party suppliers must not tape, pin, tie, stick or otherwise attach anything to the inflatable.

Any damage caused by unauthorised personalisation, decorations or interference will be fully chargeable to the hirer.

Any personalisation or added décor supplied by Muse Events by GL must remain intact and undamaged for the duration of the hire.

13. Cleaning, Damage & Loss

The hirer is fully responsible for any loss of or damage to the inflatable, blower, cables, anchoring, mats or associated equipment during the hire period, excluding fair wear and tear.

The hirer is also responsible for the cost of:

• excessive cleaning

• staining

• damage caused by food, drink, mud, face paint, body glitter or similar substances

• damage caused by misuse, reckless use or failure to follow these terms

• damage caused by guests, children, venue staff or third parties

The equipment will be prepared for use with a full wipe down using an antibacterial cleaning product suitable for contact with children’s skin. Following collection, the equipment will be wiped down again using the same type of product as part of standard post-hire cleaning. Any marks, patches, staining or other soiling that cannot be removed through this standard cleaning process may be subject to additional cleaning charges from £50.

The inflatable and associated equipment must be returned in the same condition as supplied, allowing for fair wear and tear only.

Any repair, replacement or cleaning charges remain payable by the hirer.

14. Collection & End of Hire

Collection will take place at the agreed time, or within the agreed collection window.

The inflatable must be clear of users and ready for collection at the end of the hire period.

The hirer must ensure continued access for collection.

If collection is delayed due to lack of access, the area not being clear, or continued use of the inflatable beyond the agreed hire period, additional charges may apply.

Where overnight hire has been agreed, the hirer remains fully responsible for the inflatable and all associated equipment until collection has taken place.

15. Breach of Terms / Ending Hire Early

Muse Events by GL reserves the right to end the hire immediately, without refund, if:

• the equipment is being misused

• these terms and safety rules are not being followed

• the inflatable or associated equipment has been tampered with

• the operator or Muse Events by GL considers continued use unsafe for any reason

In these circumstances, the hirer will remain liable for any loss, damage, cleaning costs or additional charges arising from the breach.

16. Liability

Muse Events by GL is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from misuse of the equipment, failure to follow these terms, inadequate supervision, or unauthorised interference with the inflatable.

The hirer accepts full responsibility for supervision and safe use of the inflatable during the hire period.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded by law.

17. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining sections shall continue to apply.

By paying the booking fee or otherwise confirming a booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions in full.
